Gastrocast #122

We continue cooking our Korean style beef ribs from last week. Also we discuss the news, pruning tomatoes, and what’s been going on at the county fair. In addition, we also make a cabbagey noodle dish to go along with the ribs.

Head out to “Podchef� island for a workshop on rearing and butchering pigs. Learn about naturally raised, pastured pork, butchering a hog, and making bacon and sausages. The cost is $75 for the day, including ferry fare, a lunch of porky delights and all materials. Accommodation available for those needing to spend a night on the island. Limit 8 participants. Reservations taken on a first-come basis. Date yet to be determined, but some time in the first weeks of October. Email now to reserve your place!
